Boarding FAQs
You've got the questions - We've got the answers!
Where does my dog stay during their boarding?
All our boarding dogs stay in our home with us and become a member of our pack where we treat them like they're one of our own. This provides a stress free boarding experience for your dog because they aren't being left alone in an unfamiliar place or confined to a kennel.
Where does my dog sleep during their boarding?
All our boarding dogs sleep soundly in a crate or on their bed in our bedroom with us and our pack.
Can my dog still be boarded if they have reactivity?
Yes, as dog trainers we are familiar with how to manage reactivity. When you request your boarding services we'll give you a shout to get all the details and come up with a plan to ensure your dog (and ours) are kept safe and stress free.
What should I send with my dog?
When you drop off your dog you should bring:
Food for the duration of their stay, plus a couple of extra days just in case
Any medications (if applicable)
Bedding for their crate (we have crates here) or their bed
Any toys they like
Their food bowl
And obviously leash and collar
Do you send me updates while my dog is there?
Absolutely, we love to send updates to pet parents to reassure them that their pupper is having a stress free and fun time with us! We often post these videos on our social media as well so you can see all the fun and activities your dog is up to!
What if my dog needs medication or supplements?
We are happy to administer medications and supplements as needed to your dog so long as clear instructions are provided.
What time can I drop off or pick up my dog?
We are flexible about our pick up and drop off times, we are here to support you and accommodate your personal schedule whether it be catching a flight, or needing us to hang on to your dog a little later than expected due to unforeseen circumstances.
What assurance do I have that my dog will be safe and cared for with you?
We have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and take every possible precaution to ensure your dog is supervised and safe in our care. We have impeccable references that can be provided from our very happy clients that have used our boarding services. Additionally Guy is certified in Canine First Aid and CPR so you can rest assured that your dog is in good hands with us.
I'm worried my dog will be stressed out
A new environment and new people can be stressful for some dogs. As dog trainers we know how to help stressed out dogs with exercise and distraction. From dog puzzles to snuffle mats, regular exercise and engaging in play, we have a number of tools we use to help your dog settle in quickly and before you know it they are happily snoozing on our couch belly up!
